In September 2025, Planetherapy – represented by Tal Nir, Igor Teplitchi, Dr. Bat‑Chen Shachar, and Dr. Edna Madgar – participated in the JReady International Instructor Seminar in Budapest.
The training was led by Dr. Moshe Farchi, developer of the internationally recognized Six C’s Model for Psychological First Aid, officially adopted by Israel’s Ministry of Health and widely used by the IDF, MDA, and other emergency organizations.
Over three intensive days, participants gained practical tools to strengthen individual and community resilience, enhance functional coping under stress, and prevent trauma.
The seminar emphasized empowering communities and preparing certified trainers to deliver the Six C’s Model within Jewish communities worldwide.
Upon completion, participants received official certification from the International Center for Functional Resilience (ICFR) and JReady, joining a global network of professionals dedicated to promoting mental health and resilience.

Sharon Kidon interviews Dr. Bat Chen Shachar and Dr. Carol Lieberman, representatives of Planetherapy’s first international delegation, on Ynet TV — an inspiring initiative founded by Tal Nir and Ilana O’Malley that, for the first time, enables therapists from around the world to come to Israel and provide free emotional support to those affected by the war.
The therapists share powerful experiences from the field, the deep connections formed with soldiers and civilians, and emphasize the importance of continuing support now — as calm returns but emotional wounds begin to surface.
Planetherapy proves that borders do not stop compassion. Through hundreds of therapists from 35 countries, an inspiring channel of healing, connection, and humanity has opened — straight to the heart of Israel.

Planetherapy, founded by Tal Nir and Ilana O’Malley, is a global network of over 300 volunteer therapists from 35 countries, offering emotional support in 22 languages. Since the war began, they’ve provided over 4,000 free sessions to Israelis and Jews worldwide.
As the fighting quiets, Planetherapy highlights the emotional “second wave” — the hidden trauma that surfaces after the crisis. To meet this need, they brought an international delegation to Israel, offering powerful in-person support to first responders and affected communities — including clinical psychologist Igor Teplitchi (France), Dr. Shari Geller (Canada), and therapist Jill Dykstra (USA).
Their mission: make emotional care accessible, human, and stigma-free — because healing starts with connection.

“At” Magazine:
Today (Monday, October 20, 2025), the first international delegation of therapists from Planetherapy lands in Israel — the free initiative founded by Tal Nir and Ilana O’Malley immediately after October 7th, which has already helped hundreds of Israelis with emotional support online. Now, for the first time, that support is happening face to face.
Now it’s happening on the ground
Starting October 20th, and for an entire week, between 15 and 25 volunteer therapists from countries like Mexico, Canada, the U.S., France, and Spain will arrive in Israel. They will visit areas heavily affected by the security crisis, hold resilience workshops, and collaborate with support organizations such as the IDF, ZAKA unit 360, and local NGOs.
“We see on the streets what’s happening in people’s souls — a heavy cloud of sadness, of anxiety,” said Nir. “This is not the time to give up. This is exactly the time to support, to be present, to contain — even when it’s hard.”

How did I end up invited to possibly the most flattering event I’ve ever attended?!
Miss Fix the Universe – yes, you heard right. Not Miss Universe – Miss FIX the Universe.
And yes, it’s a real thing!
Around 250 amazing women were invited,
just to give you a sense of how much heart and purpose exists right here in our small country –
so many initiatives all centered on Tikkun Olam – healing and repairing the world.
So of course, I came on behalf of myself, Tal Nir, and my incredible partner Ilana O’Malley Keyes,
to present our initiative: Planetherapy –
a project devoted to providing free emotional support to anyone in need,
powered by a global network of loving, volunteer therapists.
Taking this moment to thank them – it’s thanks to them that we’re here.
Spoiler: we didn’t win!
But we did make it into the top 30,
and our video was shown in the main hall. >> Watch the video
Honestly, that in itself is a win – a reminder that there are so many worthy initiatives out there.
And personally, I feel incredibly lucky
to have spent the evening surrounded by fierce women committed to making the world better.
May each of us succeed in her own way.
